Cairns Christmas Holiday 🎉

My story will continue where I stopped. Christmas time!!!!🎉🎉🎉Jingle bells jingle bells 🎼🔔🔔🔔So after Brisbane we drove to Cairns. To visit our new friends we met last time. Czech family. Couldnt wait to eat Checho-Slovak food!!! We started our drive late evening and I had very good sleep at the back seat. Early morning we were in Rockhampton after 8 hours on the road. Jozef eyes were so tiny I couldnt even see them. So I was full of enthusiasm to get on the road and continue the drive! 🚗… my advice to everyone was : be aware and dont step on the road while Im driving 🚷😂… more dangerous than roos ( kangaroos ) 🐱 – I dont have kangaroo emoticon!!! Very sad. You will not believe but I drove for about 10 hours !!! 🙋 It was so much fun due to lack of cars on the road 🤷‍♀️. Jozef had some sleep and wanted to switch few times but I WAS THE BOSS THIS TIME 👑👸. I must admit I was really tired in the end while coming to Cairns but didnt want to give up!!! Fighting spirit all the way 😂 luckily we arrived safe and I was really proud of myself. Two kids at home is not easy task I must say (especially the younger one Nicol ) – so much energy in this georgeous little girl. You are never ever bored with her. So competitive she wants to beat you in any game 👍 Our christmas holiday wasnt really holiday as I though it would be 😭 Its called active holiday!!! Day trips everyday to explore beautiful spots around Cairns. Really spectacular and I reccommend to anyone! So I will write about few trips we did! First one was Kuranda National Park. Drive up there is not the pleasant one but you can get skyrail ( or train )and have nice views of Cairns. Here are some pics from Kuranda : ( this little fella didnt want to leave Jozef alone, we tried to escape, he found the way to get on Jozefs shoulder again! 😂 people thought he is working there and were taking pictures 😂😂😂)

Next day we drove to Lake Eachem. First I wasn’t keen to get in but I was the last one to go out at the end 🙂

Dont let the clouds fool you 🙄 it was still around 33 Celsius and very humid 🤷‍♀️😨

I love Australian trees! Impressive for me…look at this size!!! Can you spot Jozef? 😂🐥

We couldn’t stop exploring this area I swear 😂😬😭 Drove to Port Douglas to visit few places. This one was the first one : Port Douglas centre ( I find it very picturesque. Nice to have a lunch there.

Then – Crocodiles!!!!😱😱😱🐊 in a river! With our OWN boat! And captian was Dominik – 14 years old young man. I must say I had some doubts while entering this boat. But he did great job and we survived! Thats the most important thing after all !!!

After 5 minutes cruising he switched with his sister Nicole!!!! 🙈🙈🙈🙈 7 years old !!!!

Very brave! She did great job as well!!! 🙂 I had to try it – of course!!!! 

We heard there are no crocodiles seen that day but we found one!!! Because of professional secret place of Dominik 👍👍😋 My heart was bumping too fast…

Another spot – Mossman Gorge! Very very beautiful place and they say if you wash yourself in the water you will look 10 years younger so thats why I entered that cold feezing river 😱🙄😈😂😂😂 It was such a nice nature around… this is a MUST if you are in this area…

And we found very friendly butterfly!!!! ❤️

A bit shaky bridge but I walked accros!

Aboriginals run this place and it was very cheap entry fee and you get free bus ride  👍
We had some fun in the car as well… 

We didnt do just trips …we played tennis almost every night!!! And Nicol was beating everyone! Such a bright prospect ❤️

Another day , another adventure…. forgot the name of the creek but will let you know when I remember ! Road was so bumpy for about 30 minutes and I lost nearly 5 kgs!!!! I guess they should use it as a weightloss program for people🙈😂😂😂🤷‍♀️ and its free! 🤑

One night we had bowling night – I won one game!!! Kristina won another one but I didnt take a picture 🙄😂🙈 I took one photo – of my winning of course hahaha

Got beautiful earrings from Kaoru – talented jeweller! And thing around my ankle ! Im in love ❤️

My Christmas day was all about swimming pool and food 😋😜😇

Santa arrived to our home as well ! I guess we were very nice all year 🤷‍♀️🙋😂

I couldnt really believe it happened !!!! Jozef got the gift – Jenga game! He loves it 👍😜 I got Rubik’s Cube! If anyone knows how to do it I would appreciate your help !!! My childhood memory is very bad because I was able to do it but I can’t anymore!😱😕😪

When you are travelling the world your expensess are so big ( flights, accommodation, fuel , tennis stuff ) so the only small chance to save some money is expenses of the food! All 10 years we limited this to possible minimum ( definitely this is not the right way to be professional athlete, but we had no other option ). 2 weeks in Cairns was a breakthru because of Kristina . We had amazing food everyday . My life problem is I dont like to eat that much and eat the whole portion but here I ate EVERYTHING on the plate ❤️❤️❤️ negative thing after this homestay was we missed the food too much but on the other side we learnt something – so we started to do our own homemade lunch and dinner everywhere we go. 

We had unreal 2 weeks in this family and Im so thankful I could bake and cook and learn a bit! Kristina is top chef!

In my next blog I will post only photos of all food Kristina made for us. Unluckily I didnt take picture of every single meal but I will not make this mistake again in future 👌😝
